04 — The studio

Founder-led,
start to finish

Off The Map Productions is a remote-first studio, run by its founder on US Central time. The person who reads your brief is the person who directs the work and hands you the finished files. Nothing is passed down to a junior team, and nothing is subcontracted out.

We took the parts of production that generative tooling genuinely does well — exploration, variations, iteration speed — and kept the parts that need a person: direction, taste, review, accountability.

The rates and the estimator are on the site because we would rather you know the number before we talk. Our own orchestration tool, Compass, runs the video engines we use in production. It is in private beta.

How do I get a price?

Use the estimator to build an itemized estimate from published rates, or send a brief through the form below. We reply within one business day. Estimates are not binding — scope, timeline and final price are confirmed together before any work starts.

How much do projects cost?

Creator kits start at $750, brand and corporate video at $1,200, product CAD and renders at $900, real-time generative systems at $1,800. À la carte add-ons run from $25 for an extra aspect ratio to $1,300 for a 10-pack of animations. Enterprise productions start at $12,000. Everything is on the rate card.

Who actually does the work?

The founder. The person who answers your brief is the person who directs the production and delivers the files — the studio does not hand work down to a junior team or subcontract it out. Generative engines handle drafts and variations along the way, and a person reviews and signs off on every deliverable.

Do you use AI?

Yes. Video engines and generative tools speed up drafts, variations and iterations. Every deliverable is directed, reviewed and finished by a person, and we will tell you which parts were AI-assisted if you ask.

What about revisions?

Revision rounds are part of each package. The Streamer Foundation Kit includes one round per asset, the Pendant CAD + Hero Render includes one revision pass, and larger packages scope revisions into the quote. Out-of-scope revisions are $50 each; additional aspect ratios are $25 each.

What do I actually receive?

Creator kits deliver optimized 1080p files. Corporate intros deliver in 4K with a brand kit, campaign spots in multiple formats, narrative campaigns with master files. The Pendant Launch Set and Complete Visual System include manufacturing-ready CAD.

Do you offer retainers?

Two. The Creator Growth System runs at $900 per month with a three-month minimum. Partner Pro is an ongoing $3,800 per month partnership with monthly custom assets, asset lifecycle management and priority support.

What is Compass?

Compass is our orchestration tool for AI video. It runs one brief across several engines in parallel, scores the takes and assembles a cut. Private beta, waitlist open, not required for studio projects.
